My dear people of Odisha,
It is a privilege to serve as the Governor of this distinctive and culturally rich State. Odisha is a land where ancient civilisational values, natural beauty, and democratic traditions coexist in harmony. From the sacred abode of Lord Jagannath at Puri to the timeless grandeur of the Konark Sun Temple, the State’s heritage reflects deep spiritual traditions and artistic excellence.
Odisha’s cultural life is marked by a diverse array of classical and folk traditions, literature, festivals, and artistic expressions, reflecting the creativity and vibrancy of its people. The State is equally endowed with scenic hills, forests, rivers, a long coastline, and abundant mineral resources, providing a strong foundation for sustainable and inclusive development.
